MF 885 Haytable/Augerheader built when?

Hi.
Just a general question. When did MacDon build the Massey Ferguson self propelled Swather 885 and the
Haytable/Augerheader 885AH? Series # 2943.
How can I tell the manufacturing date on the header? I have the serial number and all that.

Am I right with the assumption that this header is part of the MacDon 2 Series headers? Are parts for this old
puppy still available?

Curious because I was offered one. I'm reluctant though because it's already getting tough getting parts for the
3-Series headers which MacDon built for Westward, MacDon and John Deere.
Thanks for your help.

Im not sure if that swather is the same or similar to the 775 Massey that was built by MacDon parts from Massey are no longer available for the 775 we have to go to new Holland to get our parts

I think the 885 was the model after the 775.
We passed up the purchase. It's already getting difficult to get parts for our Macdon/John Deere 2360 and Auger Header 140. Suppose it's even more difficult for previous models.

It's unfortunate because those older machines still work just fine and don't cost an arm and a leg to buy.
