hi folks, me again. i am rebuilding my dump cylinders was wondering what type of fluid i should put in the loader. the fluid
that came out of the first cylinder i opened up was quite cloudy. figure i should change it seeing as i am going to be moving
on to the lift cylinders as well thanks, -ryan

Take picture of the hose routing and mark them with colored zip ties to identify bottom and top hoses.

Once rebuilt actuate the cylinders back and forth the system will self purge air.

I use Standard hydrolic fluid AW46 in my Davis loader 102 the ancestor of yours, since its used mostly in the summer and is a thicker oil.

It just take longer to warm up the oil in the winter.

The only difference between AW32 and AW46 is the weight of oil in proportion to the additives in the mixture. The AW32 is thinner and doesn t bring as much viscosity to the unit. This makes it easier to transfer power when the temperature is low.

If you need the seals then can be hard to find as a complete kit, contact Johnny @ jlmcbridesales . com (remove extra spaces)

He is located in texas and has complete seal kits for or Massey's he will ask you the serial number on the top of the casting.

I also run ISO 46 in mine. The book calls for ATF, which is HIGH in detergents and about an ISO 32. You really need to get ALL the moisture out of it, I had to flush my tank with Diesel and a rigged up pump to get the moisture filled sludge out of it.
