1970 Massey 135 (3 Cylinder Perkins Gas Engine) Misfire

My 1970 Massey Ferguson 135 has a significant misfire when idling.

When I increase RPM up to implement speed (540), the misfire decreases in frequency, but is certainly still noticeable. When under load, the misfire goes almost completely away.

I have replaced the plugs, distributor cap, and wiring.

1) Any additional ideas on the cause of the problem would be appreciated!
2) Assuming the problem is something I can't fix at the moment, is there any harm in continuing to run the tractor in this condition?

Did you change the points and condenser? Standard Motor Products or NAPA Echlin brands are recommended. Did you time it with a light? When were the valves last adjusted?

Without knowing what the problem is, how can one say whether or not it will be safe continuing to run it?

Once you find the cylinder dropping, pull the plug wire of the plug and hold it close to the plug with insulated plug wire pliers. If it
straightens out , the plug is bad.. I found this on a 600 Ford tractor after I tuned it up using Champion plugs.. After that, I won't use Champs
anymore.. I ran into a similar problem with a Gardner Denver compressor with Continental power.. Changed the fresh plugs out with another brand
and it ran sweet.
