cleaning diesel tank on Massey super 90

Just discovered that there is about a 1/2 inch of sticky asphaltene sludge in the bottom of the tank. Anyone ever clean the tank without removing it from the tractor? Removing the tank looks like a PIA with the steering linkage going through
the center of it. And what is the best way to dissolve that kind of sludge?

I use E-85 and let it sit and soak a couple days in the hot sun, then use the hot water pressure washer after to clean tanks. Both work better if you can remove the tank to turn, shake/agitate the tank than leaving it on a tractor.
