It was owned by Arlo Paxton and did not sell at his auction. If I remember right he was in Illinois. I haven't anything of it in a while but I suppose it's still around somewhere.

Correct. There are just two controls coming up from the second tractor. One connects to the clutch pedal and the other to the throttle lever.

It would have been cool to see him drive it, but that didn't happen while I was there.
 
Arlo died this summer. His coupled 44's had no front wheels and are articulated. Operator sat on the rear one. He was still driving the rig into his 90's for show. He has a daughter that ownes the unit I'm sure, not sure what will happen from here.
 
Looks like heavy frame work under the second tractor but kind of surprising the drawbar isn't beefed up where they're coupled
together.
