Massey Harris 50

My latest purchase was dropped off a couple hours ago. A 1956 Massey Harris model 50 tractor with a massey ferguson loader
on it. The serial number is SGM 507528. I'd like to know what the SGM stands for. Thanks for your help.

Thank you so much Jim.ME Where do you find that kind of information? Hoping to have it ready for a small town vintage
tractor pull next Saturday. Thanks again.

According to my parts manual the s is for a utility? My manual is for a 1958 Massey Ferguson 50 so maybe they were different.

My mf50 shows SNW?

I think the massey ferguson 50 is different than the massey harris 50. The info I have on the mh50 shows it only being made for two years but apparently in those two years there where several variations made. For example mine has 24 inch tires and tractor Data doesn't show that info. Thanks for the replies.
