After some mowing yesterday I noticed the clutch pedal had no resistance until almost fully pushed down at which time I could hear a humming sound. I was able to drive it and park it in the garage. Removed the inspection plate underneath and saw the release bearing push forward and rubbing against the Finger bolts causing the humming. But still no resistance for the clutch pedal. What could be the issue? I noticed in the spring prior to bush cutting that once I turned off the engine after putting the tractor in neutral that I could hear a slight grinding sound as something was turning inside the clutch. I pushed on the clutch pedal slightly and it stopped. What would still be turning in there after the engine is turned off and tractor in neutral?
