Massey 1964 35 shifter stuck

I am having problems with being unable to change the gear shift selector.
The tractor is a Massey 35 Deluxe gas burner 4 cyl with Hi Lo 1964 model.

Last year I shifted to fast from Low 2nd if I remember right to reverse while tractor was just barely moving while bushhogging .
Tractor Gear shift the hung in reverse with shifter unable to be moved to a different position.

I remembered reading a post that said that the trans oil cap could be taken off and then a long screwdriver could be used to stick down into the gears and the problem solved.
I tried this and could get the tractor in another gear but still would not be able to get the tractor in another gear unless I used the screwdriver again any time I want to change gears again.
It sure gets old having to get on and off the tractor and stick a screwdriver in there every time I want to change gears !!

Could someone tell me or show me a picture of how to properly use the screw driver to solve this issue.
I sure would appreciate the info and a picture !

Thanks

(quoted from post at 15:13:31 02/28/19) You have to get the shifter lined back up, this video (no mine) shows you how it should look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6UFzEGu5hs

Been a long time since I asked this question and been on the site.
I tried what it showed on the video and it is still is the same ,I can use a Long screwdriver or tire tool to change the gears but only in one gear. The shift lever will barely move no matter what Gear I have it in.
The hu low lever works just fine.

Could it be that the Bottom of the lever is not engaging the propper
spot to move the gears ?
If so how do I remove the shift lever to make sure it is in the propper spot ?

Thanks
