MF 255 Diesel Tach Drive

I ordered a replacement tach gear drive and it doesn't want to go all the way in. I think the boss around the drive end it hitting the end of the camshaft(whatever drives it), holding the mounting flange about 3/16 away from the block. The number on the old part is 535126M92 (or M93, (can't read the last digit completely). The new one is supposed to interchange.

Any thoughts?

It looks like you got the wrong one. the number is 535126m93 is 7/8 unf thread the other 1 is 1446059m1 which is 1/2 unf thread
