Hello from Northern Canada. I have a 1975 MF 135 8 SPD diesel. hydraulics were making a light chirping noise, but would lift. after a hard pull to unstuck a truck, the lift stopped working. PTO shaft turns. I have downloaded a manual. have drained the oil, removed the filter, and have both side covers removed. on the right side, there is a small lever for control speed of lowering. it doesn't seem to be making any contact with anything. the linkages inside the cavity, all seem 'floppy' for lack of a better word. should I feel resistance from the 'reaction' lever when I move it from slow to fast? oil was milky, very little filings on either drain plug and the filter looks relatively clean. appreciate feed back, or a diagram that I can enlarge to better view than what I've found so far.
