i wanted to
share my experience this morning while changing
the fuel gauge on my MF35.
The gauge hadnt worked in years but the sending
unit tested good with an ohm meter. I purchased a
new guage on ebay.
There is nothing easy about swapping this out. I
had to cut a hole on the back side of the dash to
get my hand in. It took 3 hours and alot of
cussing to get it done.
I wired the hot wire BATT+ to the light switch and
disconnected the pressure switch. This allows me
to check fuel without starting. Plus my lights
remind me i left the switch on.
Perhaps someone out there could invent a theaded
gauge body that a person could just tighten a
collar instead of the backet and 2 nuts design
that is near impossible to get started behind the
dash.
