I have all the bolts out now how do I get the pin out? do I have to take the whole steering mechanism that drives the tie rods?

Loosen the pin by tapping a small screwdriver in EACH groove at casting end where the lock bolts go through. DON'T get carried away or the ears may break..

mf 65 is not in the list of tractors. I must be doing something wrong. I am not able to login as a guest

I just rebuilt mine on my mf50 looks the same but you will want to get it apart first, some use O-rings on the piston and others use steel piston rings that you order separately from the standard kit.

I already bought a kit that has the piston rings. Do I
need to remove The big triangular shaped stop at the
end of the Cylinder shaft because that pin doesnt
seem to want to move.

Remove the lower sheet metal first, use a wedge and spread the clamps slightly the pin will drive down. There is a notch in the frame you have to turn the wheel left to line the pin up with the notch so you can drive it all the way out.
