David P South Wales MF3125

Hi David and hope you are well. One of my customers has a MF3125 tractor and we need
some clutch parts as in a flywheel, slave cylinder PTO drive shaft etc and as these
parts are obsolete from MF I am trying other sources but not having any luck.

Hello Michael, we are well thanks.
I have done a cursory search of my main suppliers and with the exception of a starter ring Bepco and Agriline list virtually nothing for the 3125. The parts listed are mainly common items with other models. It's a little difficult as I do not have full details of the tractor and there appear to be several types of slave cylinder which is quite a complex component. The flywheel is only available as a complete assembly with the starter ring. Do you have access to the MF European parts books? If not your local MF agent should be able to give you access. You might then be able to do a search to find out what other models use the same components and widen the possibilities in terms of finding the parts at a breakers. There are a number of breakers in the UK and Ireland which might be worth a try although I would not wish to fit a used slave cylinder.
I have expanded my search and found one French supplier Agricolors, that is offering a slave cylinder kit for euro1874 plus tax and shipping. There are several more, the main ones that I have found are Carlu and Sebastien Pieces.
If you have to go down the new parts road, if you can find them they are likely to be mega-bucks.
I would have to say that if I was the owner of a 3125 which I would consider to be a relatively modern tractor, that parts were no longer available from MF, I'd be pretty p'd off.
Another possibility that you might try is to get in touch with Graeme at Dobsons Chorley. I'm sure that if anyone can help Graeme will.
