does anyone know the thread size of the safety switch? That switch is becoming a huge nuisance. Also does anyone know other ways to tell what year or numbers to my 135 so I can order the correct parts for it? the tag that I see alot of people have on the dash but the one on it was so old and rusted it was just falling apart and you couldn't make anything of it.

I don't know the thread size.
From looking at the 135 parts book it appears they all used the same Neutral Safety Start Switch, Part number 181140M94.
If you don't have the link to the on line parts catalog site here it is and some instructions to help you find your parts book to use there. That site won't allow posting a direct link to one book, at least I haven't succeeded in doing it. You don't always need a serial number, start by being sure you are looking at the correct engine when it is specified. Look up your part then see if there is a serial number break. Cross that bridge when you get to it.
