MF 20 Ind Power Steer Hose Leak

I have a power steering hose to the steering column that is leaking on the hose side of a crimped fitting right out of the crimp. Has anyone ever tried to have a hose re-crimped? It is a hose with metal tube extensions and $140 for a new one so they are available if there isnt a cheaper fix.

I suggest to take hose off and have a shop make a new hose. Usually repairing a old hyd hose will be short lived.

Yes, get a new one made. If access at the control unit is tight, you might be able to have the shop cut the pipe end off and
have a new hose crimped on. It's also possible to have a new pipe portion made up to put on the end of a new hose, depending
on the shop you take it to.
