mf 135 steering colunm R and R

Anyone got tips on disassembly of the Steering colunm? I'm thinking of using a wood or steel rod to keep all of the parts aligned and in correct order on removal.I have a power steering problem. Wheels will turn right with power assist but extreme resistance turning left. Turns freely left and right with and without engine running when lifted off of the ground with loader. Power steering fluid is correct, replaced both spindle bushings. So I'm now going to tear apart the steering colunm
Thanks
Steve

I am curious to hear your progress.

I have been putting off a teardown of a 135 gas 4 cylinder with the same symptoms, except this one also leaks power steering fluid out the steering box breather during the difficult left steering

This is a Deluxe model no leaking of fluid, in a previous thread several people suggested adjusting a turnbuckle which I believe is on UK and Aus units but not on american versions.
Per their ideas changed spindle bushings after determining the wheels elevated off the ground ere difficult to turn.by hand ..they turn nicely now ;however I was not very elated that I still had the same problem.
So The column has to be R&R, my guess is the $700 power steering valve assembly, or the nut has come off of the rack bolt....but since it free wheels off the ground. the assembly is my guess.
It turns to the right a little then jerks fast to the right but almost impossible to turn left..I"m probably turning against the pump pressure.
The water pump broke after 50 years crashed into the radiator so new pump, radiator, new wheel bearings, spindle bushings..it's served me well but I need to fix it to sell it to a neighbor to get room for Kioti 7320 with FEL or jd 5075m with FEL
For the leak problem amazon/ebay sells a complete column seal/ gasket repair kit

Miner09,
You mention adjustment. I don't have a turnbuckle, what part are you suggesting to adjust? The nut on the cylinder piston rod? please explain.
I'd love not to have to tear down the column.
Thanks
