special tool MFN 970

I have a question about special tool MFN 970 or MF 272 ram arm tool, I see there are 2 sizes on the drawings for the tool one that is 1" and one that is 7/8" tall, which one goes with what thickness cover? I am working on a MF20 with the 6 speed if that matters.

Just checked and the depth of 272 should be 7/8”.

Thank you so much for all your help! got the lift arms working , just have to work on final adjustments , tried to use my brush hog for the 850 pound weight but think it was too heavy. just set as close as I could for now.
