Regulator Wiring

I am working on restoring a Massey Ferguson 35. Before purchasing the tractor a fire had destroyed the wiring and the regulator/control box was missing. I have purchased a Delco GDR6006 regulator and am working on installing it. According to my service manual the original control box had D-E-A-F terminals whereas the new regulator has F-BAT-L-GEN terminals. I am hoping someone can help me figure out how to connect the new regulator. Everything else on the tractor is original and it is a 12 volt, positive ground system with the Z134 gas engine.

The Delco regulator likely will not work with your generator

If it were mine I would be looking at an alternator and negative ground conversion. Seems like reliable generator regulators are hard to find.

I recently rewired my 1963 MF35. I also purchased a new regulator with the same terminals. Mine is a gas engine and 12v negative ground.
Here is how I wired mine. I take no responsibility for your work-do what you think is right. I am not a professional..
From the regulator
The F goes to the F bolt on the generator.
B goes to the negative side of the ammeter
L goes to the B position on the ignition switch
G goes to the A bolt on the generator
I have read that regulators have a bad reputation. So far, mine seems ok.
Hope this helps.
