3-pt Hydraulic Control Issue

Greetings, I have a MF 3165 with the MF hydraulic system. I tried to use the hydraulic system for the first time, but nothing happened when I moved the controls. Neither the position control lever nor the draft control lever resulted in any movement. I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong or if the equipment isn't working properly.

Is there more to it than simply moving the control levers?

What would be the best approach for troubleshooting?

The quadrant support piece is broken, but the inner and outer shafts still seem to move properly. I took the quadrant off to get a closer look. (See picture)

Thank you for your help!

I switched the transfer cap around, but still nothing. I think the standpipe that seats under the cap is missing. I looked down into the hole and didn't see it. I remember putting it in, but my memory is not the best. Is it possible that it "fell" in? Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help!

Thanks DT. Your recommendation was spot on. The tube was easy to retrieve through the side opening. Upon inspection, the tube has been modified. It looks like 1/4" has been ground off one end. There is no o-ring groove on that end. But it still seems to butt up against the cap when the cap is tightened down. Do you think it is ok to test it out?

(quoted from post at 11:16:03 09/24/20) It may still work sort of, but it will leak. The part number for the stand pipe is 898229M1 (12-15/32" LONG).

Thank you for posting the part number. I'll order one. It's getting a decent amount of pressure now, even with the shortened tube. I got a nice shower of UTF when I started the tractor (one of the threaded plugs wasn't tight).

The lift arms still aren't working though. I think it may have to do with the controls. The lever (with arrow in picture) doesn't move when I rotate the control shaft. It actually moves just a tiny bit at the very end of the control's range of rotation.

Is there something I can check without taking the lift cover off?
