I have a very reliable Ferguson TO-30, but I have a long-standing problem with the PTO. The engagement lever on the left side under the seat moves back and forth smoothly as expected. I can always engage the PTO with no problem. However I cannot always disengage the PTO. The lever moves easily upwards as if to disengage the PTO, but the shaft will often keep running, unless I put some "pressure" on the PTO by partially letting the clutch out while moving the engagement level upwards at the same time. Sometimes this approach will not work either. I really do not want to split the tractor to investigate this! Any ideas?
