135 tachometer

Tachometer works fine but the hour meter doesn't work at all. Is this an fixable problem or do I need to buy a new tach-hour meter?

Hi Phil, probably not beyond repairing but.............
You will need to have some means of un-swaging the chrome ring and then re-swaging it if you are successful . Over here new units are around £30 so I’m guessing $40-45 with you. So new is a better option. Interesting to take it apart though.

I was thinking a new one would be the best option. I have taken other tachs apart before and it is almost impossible to get it back together and have the rim look decent. Thank you

I bought a tachometer for my MF35 off Ebay a few years ago. It now has 435 hours on it but has given up the ghost in the last month. Buying cheap isn't always the cheapest option!

I think a fellow in Fla rebuilds them.
