MF 20 C 3pt wont raise and/or Pto wont engage

After mowing last evening with my MF20 C the 3pt will not raise and/or the pto will not engage. Any thoughts?

Does it have a 2 stage clutch? If yes, it is most likely a problem with the second stage clutch disc.

yes it has two stage clutch. How without splitting the tractor would I know if its not something else internal. I am going to look at the shop manual tonight but are the internal hydraulics and the pto run off the same shaft or gear ? Could it be something after the clutch?

There are 2 input shafts going into the transmission, one inside the other. The outer shaft splines into the second stage clutch disc and drives the lower transmission shaft which drives both the hydraulic pump and the PTO. The most likely point of failure is the clutch disc. Either the facing has come off or the hub has come loose. Anything else would be unusual. Can you take the cover off from the under side off the bell housing and inspect the clutch, or is there a loader in the way?

I finally had some free time to work on the tractor. I laid underneath the tractor while my buddy operated the clutch. It looked to be operating correctly. I then drained the fluid from the transmission case. The hydraulic fluid had water in it. I flushed the pump screen and case with kerosene and refilled the housing with fluid. The PTO works but not the 3 point. Also the PTO only works with the tractor moving no matter what position of the PTO lever. Thoughts? I appreciate the help.
