Help troubleshooting mf135 power streering

MS135 1968 continental gas with allied FEL.
On the ground will turn easily to right almost impossible to steer left. off the ground will turn both ways but a little resistance to turning left. Is this the power steering column valve that's gone bad?
Dealer reluctant to repair since "steering parts for old machines hard to find"
I have found a rebuilt power steering box for $1700; and yesterdays has a valve
Any ideas/ hints would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Check your pedestal bushing top and bottom for worn bushing. Get someone
to turn steering wheel back and forth just a little each way while you
watch.Don't take much to get adjustment off. This is why it's hard to
turn.Bushing number is 1960570M1 about $3 each.After replacing bushings
you can adjust turnbuckle but just a little at a time.Don't take
much. It's probably not your steering box.

Pedestal do you mean steering column? My parts manual doesn't list any bushing with that number.....The steering turns fine with out engine on and with engine off as long as it's raised off of the ground. Are you meaning the spindle bushings? the drag link could be considered TURNBUCKLE? will try have someone watch the steering wheel. I can also send a picture of the parts diagram I have if that will help with nomenclature.

Thanks for the help Miner09 but the only bushings I can find in the Parts list are on the pitman arms and 2 on each axle extension the spindle is running thru

(quoted from post at 13:23:53 08/31/20) I'm sorry but I was thinking about different tractor. Hope someone will
give you the right answer.

Is it possible that the axle extension bushings the spindle runs thru could be bad since the steering works with or without the engine on when elevated off the ground? #180345m1 other than grease I've never worked on the spindles only greased wheel bearings.
Thanks for the idea I should focus on something not as obvious as the steering box.

Try disconnecting the tie rods and with it jacked up grab The
tire and turn it like you want to make a turn. I have a 135 that
the thrust bearings on both sides seized up that was behaving
the way you describe. Grease would help mine for a short
time but it’s not a bad job changing ether thrust bearings. Just
be sure to measure them before you order replacements as
there’s different sizes.

Thanks Dairyman, I will rebuild the axle extension spindle thrust bearing and bushings...despite the old farm saying " if it ain't broke don't fix it" I will probably rebuild both sides if the first rebuild takes care of the problem. Just put $800 in new water pump, radiator etc. when the water pump wiped out the radiator when it flew apart...which led to fixing the lovejoy alignment bracket for the crankshaft driven hydraulic pump.

Repaired front axle ,new wheel bearing, spindle rebuild kit and still have the same problem ./....It must be the steering control valve assembly
