Massey Ferguson 135 jerky lift

I looked at a 135 for sale yesterday. Had a nice running Perkins diesel, very good rubber all the way around, 8 speed tranny that worked good but tractor also needed a bunch of electrical work and had an axle seal leaking on one side. It had a couple issues I was unfamiliar with so I walked away from it, I was wondering if the more experienced here could shed some light on them:
1. 3 point lift was jerky on the way up whether it had a load or no load. It seemed to work ok other than that. Fluid was at correct level.
2. The two stage clutch would not disengage the PTO when I pushed it all the way to the floor, I had to grind it to engage the PTO as well. Is that an adjustment issue or a bad clutch?

Jerky lift most time is the valves leaking on hydraulic pump. Also check
and see if draft control leavers are set between the two dots. Top has to
be removed to replace pump. Clutch may need to be replaced if adjustment
will not correct the problem. Tractor has to be split to replace clutch.
If you buy put cost into the price and see if it's a good deal or not.

Thanks for that info. He was asking $2950 which seems pretty high for something that needs a hydraulic pump and possibly a clutch. It also had a leaky rear axle seal on one side along with a bunch of electrical work that needed to be done.
