HAVE A MASSEY 22 LEFT BRAKE LOCKED SAT FOR OVER THE WINTER NOW IT IS LOCKED TOOK RODS OFF AND HIT HOUSING WITH HAMMER NO HELP. WHAT NEXT ?

Well, grab a can of your favorite penetrant and start spraying in the hole where the brake rod goes in the housing. (Something more than WD 40) Pull the brake rod and gently, and I mean gently tap on the end of it to see if it will push back. IF all else fails, you get to pull the housing. Not a bad job, get a cherry picker engine hoist and slit the housing off the transmission case after you take the wheel off
