My mhf 202 tractor

Hello everyone I'm new to the tractor scene and just bought what I thought was to be a mf 202 work bull tractor with loader and I'm not sure what I have now because the serial number is jpg 300329. I ordered and downloaded a set of manuals for the mf 202 203 204 and 205 but not sure now if it's even the right ones. It has the Z134 motor in it. Just finished with the tune up and was looking at the front loader hydraulic set up and seen that it fills and drains in the frame of the loader. Is this correct or am I missing something. Also looks like the transmission and differential fill from the same hole by the shifters. Is this correct as well?
So I have a few questions
Where can I get correct manuals from or will the ones I purchased work. I got the parts book manual the service manual and the operator manual
Next what hydraulic fluid do I need and how much capacity will it take and do I fill it from the breather cap or the plug on the frame rail
And last what about transmission and differential fluid what weight and capacity
Thank you for your help

Hi Streetsmoker.

I have a 202 with the serial number 300234. I have concluded mine was likely built in 1956 by Massey Harris Ferguson. Ours were built close to or during the transition from Massey Harris Ferguson to the Massey Ferguson Company. No real differences that i am aware of. Not sure about the JPG. J = Industrial and G = Gas. P = Perkins Diesel so it is maybe a different letter? Maybe JGF ? F = a single clutch.

The loader frame on the side with the control is the tank. Yes the transmission and differential use the same fluid and have the 1 fill point. I use MF spec fluid PermaTran III that I get at tractor supply, under their label. It is available at any auto parts store under different brand names.

I am not sure of the capacity of the loader tank(not near my manuals). Somewhere north off 5 Gallons and yes the fill point is the breather. You can use the same PermaTran III fluid for it as well. If yours is a Davis loader, if you do an internet search you will find information on another forum and they have online manuals.

Welcome Streetsmoker!

As BIGRED19 said, the 202 tractor was produced before 1958. Most Massey serial numbers began with 001, so it is likely that the first 202 was # 300001. Yours is an early model that has few differences as those sold in 1958, with the main difference being the hood and grill.

As for manuals, the factory (MF) manual is available through AGCO dealers and is generally thought to be best. There are also reproductions available, although some have complained about poor quality of these. IT is another manual that is good, although most consider it a supplement to the MF manual.

Parts manuals are available online here:
https://apb.agcocorp.com
Click "VIEW BOOKS" under "GUEST USER". At the search page, choose the Brand Massey Ferguson and enter 202 in the search area. There are also parts manuals available through eBay.

Owners manuals are also available on eBay.

For fluids, I use Tractor Supply Universal Hydraulic fluid in both the transmission and for the loader. You probably have a 102 loader, but it also could be another. My 102 loader is filled from the breather cap. Some models have a dipstick attached to the cap, and others (including mine) have a small plug below the control levers to show fill level. My books say 4 gallons for the reservoir, and 5.5 for the complete system which includes a backhoe.

The Transmission Hydraulic & Differential hold 8 gallons.

Thank you sir as well. Yes I have the 102 loader. I tuned it up yesterday and adjusted the carb and changed the oil she purrs nicely. Been a long time lol that I had to adjust a set of points had to pb blast the fellar gauges to get them open
