There is a sale near me that has a 165 with a narrow front. I had never seen one before but have seen some 180-1080-1100 narrow fronts. What tractors would this fit? Would you be able to swap these parts to a 1080-1100 wide front tractor? What is it worth? I always liked big narrow front tractors. Thanks Tom

A narrow front could be added IF tractor has the correct steering cylinder box. The 1080 and 1100 series had two available, only the box with the front bolt on plate would handle the narrow front. The smooth box did not have the thrust bearing needed for narrow front load, it was for wide front use only.

I believe that they made a 150 narrow that I believe the parts would swap over too. But I do know that a 180 is a completely different set-up than a 165.

As for what it is worth, that is up to the person that wants it and the condition that it is in. If a person needed it to complete a series, they may be willing to pay more. Or in my case if it was a matter of nostalgia. A fair number of people are fearful of using a narrow front tractor and then add to the fact that it isn't wise to mount a loader on a narrow front, the market for that tractor outside of the collector realm gets quite a bit smaller.
