Remote hydraulic valve for a mf3165....

Hello, I am interested in adding remote hydraulics to my tractor. Anyway I came across one of the old style mf dual remote valve that mounts to the lift cover. And there is multiple ports on the bottom of valve for I'm assuming the stand pipe, but what are the other ports for? Just return ports? And do they require a standpipe as well or would it be ok for the returning oil to just shoot down out if them into the reservoir?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes I have 3ph.Yeah after I posted that I started looking in my manual at the ports under my plate that I have now and realized nothing else hooks up but the standpipe. But with those older style valves, would one of the levers work to lift and lower my 3ph? And I guess the other would be for a rear remote valve? The valve has one lever that moves back and forth and sits in center, and the other lever has 3 fixed positions for I guess holding pressure.?.?3ph maybe??? Not sure... if you have this older style valve can you give me a breif tutorial of the operation?

I mainly want it for a hydraulic top link and maybe in the future if I make a grapple bucket, I'll need to operate the grabber cylinder. I have a mf200 loader on my tractor and have the front mounted hydraulic pump for the loader only.

There were a few different styles of those valves. One style was strictly single action for a single cylinder. There was another that was duel action and extra spools could be added to the right side. Either way, the left spool operates the 3ph and it has to be locked back to use the quadrant lever beside the seat. The right lever is for the remote cylinder.

On the duel lever valve you can divert oil from the right side valve to a second valve/valves. It's a open center system so a return needs to be connected to the sump ( there is a plug for that on the side of the top plate). I have a 65 with a loader which uses the remote valve mounted on the transmission to divert oil to a separate loader control valve mounted on the loader. To operate I center the left valve (3 point valve), push the right valve forward and set the lift control to the constant pumping position. The loader control valves can then operate the loader. To return to 3 point operation I center the right valve, take the position control out of constant pumping position and pull the left level back. The three point can know be operated.

Now what you just described is how this valve operates I believe. Bcuz the left lever is the one that move back and forth but sits centered, and the right lever has three fixed notches/positions to switch from.

And I like the thought of diverting to another valve bank.... maybe go all out and get a triple bank to operate 3 different cylinders like top link, adjustable lift arm cylinder(for tilting a blade),and maybe that grapple cylinder I mentioned. And do all those functions without unhooking hydraulic lines or getting off my butt using valuable energy on something so tedious.
