Hi all.
I have an MF 230 which I've had for a few years. It's a great little machine for blowing snow and mowing our pasture.
That said, it needs an electrical overhaul. At some point, the start switch was replaced with a generic unit and the NSS bypassed. The only functioning electrical bits are the fuel guage and the starter. I don't even have a working temperature guage! No lights, which makes blowing snow in the evenings more difficult than it needs to be.,
Anyways, I am preparing for an overhaul of the electrical and can find most of what I need except for the front headlight and rear work light lamp housings.
One of the headlight housings has been damaged at some point, and needs replacing. The rear work light housing has rusted out at the bottom. I could 'repair' it with JB-weld, but I'd prefer to find a replacement somehow.
[b:58763a5b8d]First question:[/b:58763a5b8d] Does anyone know where these parts (headlight and work light housings) can be sourced? I can't find anything in the aftermarket that I feel confident will work. I know I can find the headlight rubber retaining rings here at YT.
[b:58763a5b8d]Second question:[/b:58763a5b8d] Regarding the rear 'Work and Tail light' - the parts books shows both a sealed beam unit (535505M1) and a separate bulb (1018729M1) that appears to be behind it. It doesn't make sense to me what's going on here - Can anyone describe how these two units work together in one housing with the sealed beam unit in front of the other bulb?
[b:58763a5b8d]Third question:[/b:58763a5b8d] The front headlight units appears to be Par36 dual beam units. I'm planning to replace them with the Larsen 'High Output Par 36 Hi / Lo' LED units. However, I'm not sure what the rear work light requires. Is that a Par 46 housing?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
