Injection pump swap????

I have a brand new CAV TW50E 800/8/1800 that is for D3.152 perkins.

Can I use it in place of my MF 35X A3.152 CAV LW58 600/2/2390 if I change the governor spring and throttle locations and adjust the throttle lever to match the maximum no load RPM. Both pumps are timed for 22 degrees BTDC.

How does my old one with 58 cubic centimeters of fuel for 1000 squirts at 600 rpm compare to the brand new pump with 50 at 800 rpm?. Do these numbers matter if the governor spring and throttle are matched to the old pump and the throttle adjusted to max 2390 rpm no load??

Why not repair the original pump, instead of making a "mutt" pump that NO ONE has a clue in the future what it should be? Post both complete 323 numbers and I'll see if
the hydraulic heads are the same..

I want to get something hooked up to my dad's tractor quickly to see if in fact it us the pump or the injectors.

The number on the old pump is 3230010. The number on the new pump is 3233F240.

Looks like they are the same head for the A3.152 and the AD3.152 according to Sparex parts and info. But the new pump has Hydraulic timing device whereas the tractor's old pump doesn't have it.

Would that make it not able to work?.

(quoted from post at 18:02:17 08/03/20) Sparex info is wrong, the 3230010 has 7.5 MM rotor plungers, 3233F240 has 8.5 MM rotor plungers..

Thanks Dieseltech,

The information on the Sparex page was for a new head (S105971) to replace their pump's (S105950). Their pump replaces the CAV 3230010 or 3230F030 for the A.3.152. That head from Sparex replaces both the A.3152 and AD 3.152 engines CAV pump's head.

The pump for the AD3.152 at Sparex is S105951 and replaces CAV 3230F180 pump.

Looks like Sparex is using the same head to replace both pump's head.
