MF 175 hydraulic

Using my MF175 gas with Multi-Power to disk bean ground. Hydraulics working fine with external cylinder until I have two acres to go when out of the blue tractor won't raise or allow lowering of cylinder. Oil level fine. Had been working great. Don't know of anything that changed. No visible oil leaks. Any suggestions on correction or where to start for remedy? Any help appreciated as always. Thanks in advance.

There is a filter down in the belly that could need cleaned. The main pump filter is replaceable. The multi power/aux pump is a metal filter that is cleanable. If you have the aux pump and true aux hydraulics you will have to pull the top cover to get to the filters. If you are just using the main pump to run remote hydraulics then you might be able to get to the filter though the cover on the side.

Hi, do you have an isolating valve mounted on the front of the hydraulic cover? If so, check that you have not accidentally selected ‘internal’ hydraulic operation. This will have the effect of ‘sealing’ the 3-point from operating. It’s very easy to do when you get on or off with some valve types.

Yea, thought of the filters and I certainly will look into those. Just seemed odd that it was working one second and then next it wasn't. Thanks for the help.

DavidP: I do have the diverterr valve on the top of the cover. With my clumsy big feet, it would be easy for me to move something unintentionally. However, I tried every configuration with valves and levers and holding my tongue just right and nothing makes a difference. What baffles me the most is the system had been working fine and quit immediately. Thanks for the help.

Hi, looks like the first step will be to partly drain the oil from the trans and remove the RH side cover. Inside you will see the vertical lever coming down from above and the pump lever coming up from below.
The spring loading on the pump lever is to push the vertical lever rear wards into the pumping position. When you raise the Position Control does the pump lever push the vertical lever fully rear wards? If the 3-point is held say halfway and you lower the PC lever you should see the pump lever being pushed forward into the discharge position. This should return to a central position as the 3-point approaches the selected quadrant position.
Let us know if this is happening.
