MF 35 again

OK, got the MF 35 back together. When I crank it, it's wide open and the throttle lever does nothing.

My manual says put it back together as it come a part. Then it goes to setting the idle speed. My gosh, it will explode before I can get it to idle. The manual I have is "Massey Ferguson- 35/50- tractor-service manual." I'll go back and see if I missed a page.

Anybody know where I need to start? Check out? At least it cranked, got to be an adjustment somewhere that needs a little twerking. Just so you know I did a governor replacement.

I've just put my MF-50 with Z134 motor back together and had the same issue. Sounds like you governor system is out of adjustment. Watch this video of how to adjust the governor and throttle linkage arms. It helped me, now my tractor is running pretty good.

We have an MF50 (very much like an MF35) DO NOT PUT A BUCKET ON THE MF35 WITHOUT POWER STEERING. The MF50 (which does not have power steering) needs a gorilla and 3 acres to turn around with a load in the bucket. I know first hand how hard it is to steer. You will work yourself to death using it. The MF35 (I have one, and love it) does not have a strong front end. I would be concerned about wearing the steering out as well as the front pivot pin. Leave your 35 to mowing and light plowing.
