Need correct rotor for MF 135 Continental z 145 distributor

Good morning
I have installed a new tune up kit for my MF 135 Distributor but the rotor is the wrong size, it is too small for the shaft. This is the second time I have replaced the kit in the last 4 years and didn't realize that the rotor was the wrong size. How the last one worked without going on the whole way is beyond me but it did until the tab broke finally. I put the new one on and realized it wasn't going on all the way and it only lasted a few minutes before the tab broke again. I cleaned the shaft but the rotor just doesn't want to fit all the way down. I ordered a few new rotors from YT and am hoping they are the right size or I may have to try and modify something. A second question is how hard is it to convert to an electronic ignition system and is this recommended? Thank you! Colinsgrandpa

Do you know what distributor you have? Can you locate any info on a tag on it or stamped into the body of it? Post some photos, cap, points, whole distributor showing the metal body and the rotor you got. It may not be the OEM distributor, and it will be hard to help you find the right parts without more info.

All the 135's should use the same rotor Massey Ferguson part number 1024916M1. Most of aftermarket rotors don't fit the shaft very well, if it will even go on the shaft at all! There is a new one in the original MF package on ebay now for $12.00 (here's a picture of it
