Mf 135 serial/engine number

My mf 135, 3 cyl diesel, swept axle, is missing the serial number tag. I can find what appears to be an engine number stamped into,the block below the exhaust manifold on number 1, 2389785, is there anyway I can reconcile this to,a serial number,, or should I use this number for ordering engine parts only..thanks again pete.

My 1964 135 serial number was found behind the air cleaner assembly. Have to remove 4 bolts and the entire assembly to see it. It is a us model and the serial number starts with SDM. You can also look at the cast date of the oil pan. It's on the front of the pan near the drain plug.
