I just recently bought a used 250 with diesel and am trying to figure out a couple of things as I had a MF 35 for years so this is new to me.
1. It has Factory aux hydraulics on it and I will be putting a MF 232 loader on it this summer, the loader came with its own pump. Should I use that or plumb into the tractor?
2.The oil cooling unit (radiator) leaks a little at the bottom and appears to have been hit with something as the mesh is damaged as well. Are these repairable like a coolant radiator? and when it drips it has a creamy color or yellowish (not clear) consistency, should I be concerned?
3. The steering shaft also is leaking fluid and appears to be coming from the seal under the steering cap, is this a big job? Suppose I can buy on ebay?
4. There is a little play in the steering wheel, is that correctable? The steering cylinders are on the axles.
5. One of the factory headlamps is missing, can I get these in LED? I didnt really want to add led lights to the outside....
6. The fuel gauge does not work, work these even effective in their day and is it worth replacing, or is the float bad in the tank?
