Fe35 rear rim confusion

1FE35

New User
So I have a rotted out rear rim and got another for it from a
wrecker. It came off a fe35 with same engine and all. But it?s
completely different. Mine uses wedges to secure the rim and
the one I got sent to me uses bolts with eyes on the rim. So
I?m wondering which is correct and what?s not or are both
correct?

Your original wheels are the clamp type, the new wheel you got is a loop type. I don't have a Ferguson FE35 parts book, but from the Ferguson TO35 parts book it shows that the clamp type, and the loop type wheel centers have different part numbers so your wheel centers probably won't work with your new wheel. Someone with a FE35 parts book could maybe confirm this.

The TO35 with the loop type wheel uses 6 bolts like this to hold the wheel center to the wheel https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/...-Nut-Kit-Rear-Rim-to-Wheel-Center_S04352.html

On another note you maybe able to use your wheel center on the loop type wheel, but you can't use a loop type wheel center with the clamp type wheel because the clamp type wheel center seems to have more material there for the clamps to hold on to.

Pictures of a loop type center, and wheel.

Thanks for the insight. I will have to either get the rest of the pieces to make it work or keep my eyes out for the clamp on ones. Or attempt to repair my current rim

I have both types and yes the clamp stile has ridges in the rims for the clamps to grip, loops do not. Thinking clamps are Ford.

Looks like the wedge type fits a cast center and the loop type fits the pressed steel.

I also have MF2135 industrial tractor with cast centers on a loop type wheel. That picture I posted was one of the rear wheels from my MF135 that has the pressed steel centers.

Same here with my MF35 Utility. Cast centers, 6-loop wheels.

Note Parts Info:
Is there a correct / incorrect wheel, hub assembly ??

Seems to be what ever the owner ordered.....?
