MF 35 finish mower

I recently purchased a Bush Hog ATH 990 7.5 foot finish mower to use with my MF 35. The Massey is still pretty 'healthy' and rated at 37 PTO horsepower. Will be
using to mow yard height grass only. Not time yet in western PA to start mowing but just wondering if anyone else had used a mower of this size behind an MF-35.
I have been using a cub lo boy 154 with a 60 inch deck and it works fine. Just want a reason to use the Massey more.

Is that a 3 point hitch mower or a pull type? You may find that the front end of the 35 gets rather light with something that big on the 3ph. I had a 6 foot finish mower on my 35 last year and the front wheels bounced a little.

Wow! That's some back lawn you've got!
Intrigued by your 135. Looks like a fixed
straight-axle. Ag or industrial spec? Top
steering arms look like the have lugs
ready for steering rams?

Yea, the 7.5 foot finish mower makes the MF 35 front end very light if you pick it up with the 3 pt. Does the same with my 5 ft brush hog. Told the wife the mower may be a little big for the Massey and she said "Get a bigger tractor". I like the way she thinks

The front axle, and support is off of my MF2135 industrial that has the Z134 engine, all of the power steering parts were junk on it. The 135 vineyard models also could be had with that front axle.

Since the 2135 has a manual shuttle transmission with a diff lock I'm making a loader out of it (a little side project).

ptfarmer-are you making a reversed tractor like a "trojan loader",if so,how does the drivetrain work?looks like a neat project.thanks,

The transmission is a manual forward, neutral, reverse shuttle shift, it has the regular 6 speed transmission so it has 6 forward, and 6 reverse gears

To add to below, suggest liquid filling front tires to help some with counterweight for safety, especially if hilly, will add about 100 lbs.
