I am working on a non-multipower 1080. I'm fixing to have to go into the hydraulics and my service manual list some special tools for the lift cover adjustments. A MFN 1080-B, MFN 1080-C, MFN 1080-D, and MFN 970. Any information on any of these tools would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I think that I can help you with
drawings for the special tools needed.
The only problem is that on this side of
the pond the Churchill special tools have
different numbers. If you can give me the
name of each tool such as the 'ram arm
setting gauge' and your number for it,
I'll check what I have got.

The 1080-B is use as a gauge laid across the housing to measure the height of the pressure control valve. 1080-C seems to be a pin that goes through the quadrant levers. 1080-D is used as a gauge to adjust the the linkage on the lift cover. 970 tool seems to be a certain thickness wedge put under the ram arm my book say use the .636 side. Thanks for your help.

Hello, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Having looked in my Churchill Special Tools Catalogue there are some that are common to other models and some that are for the 1080 only or other models that I have not been involved with. Sketches of the ones that I have are below.
