MF 265 Power Steering valve removal

I need to remove the power steering valve (motor) located on the steering column on a MF 265 Tractor because it has developed a severe
power steering leak. Any thing I need to know before I start removing it? THANKS in advance for the help!!

If you have not found your leak source I would do that first My 245 was leaking at the top seal and i was able to change it after pulling steering wheel.Not sure if my tractor is the same as yours.

My 265 had same terrible steering leak. Before I tore into the column seals and all I tried reducing the power steering pump pressure. After a few trial and errors, I lowered the pressure and the leakage 90% stopped and the steering works fine. Somehow the pressure relief valve had been set too high.

Seal kit still sitting on the bench.
