MF135 Indepent PTO Parts

I have a 1967 MF135 Delux with the hydraulic Independent PTO not live. It was working fine but i noticed a rattle sound when i disengaged it. I pulled the top cover today to do some maintenance, clean filters, Fix the draft control ect.
What i found was the Bronze brake disk on the outside of the PTO clutch drum is loose on the drum. it is wallowed out pretty good. Also it seems the pin that come through the side PTO cover that keeps the brake caliper from rotating had backed out of the side cover and let the PTO brake caliper rotate into the pinion shaft above it(that was the rattling). It also broke the small hydraulic line that goes to the side cover for the test port.
IT seems the clutch hub is worn also where the brake disk engages but hopefully a new brake disk will be tight enough without replacing the clutch housing. It looks like the disk took most of the wear.
Has anyone worked on one of these in the past or have any tips?

It seems i need part number 513167M1 for the brake disk. Does anyone know where i can find this part?

The good news, I found and entire lift pump with the Aux Hydro pump and the IPTO/multi power pump out of an late model MF165 with everything including the New style double plate style front gear train on eBay for $120 that is supposed to be in working order! The only thing different is this one has the 21spline Shaft my 135 has the 10 spline shaft.
This style does have aftermarket replacement pumps available if i ever need to replace it.
I will haft to change out the pump shaft but hopefully the aux pump drive gear from the 10spline pump will work with the newer style pump.
Question, Does anyone have the specs on the AUX hydraulics? It looks like my pto side cover has 2 blank spots where it can be drilled and fittings installed. What style and size fittings should i install? I plan to plumb the hydro pump to the side cover in case i ever need external hydraulics. or st the least put a spin on oil filter on there to keep the oil cleaner.

Well the saga continues on. What seems like a simple day of maintenance has turned into the tractor split and a pile of broken parts.
The plan to install pins in the IPTO housing to hold the disk worked like a charm. The disk is a little worn where it engages the drum but it is plenty good. I just drilled the holes and installed split pins while it was in the tractor. Picked up new hydraulic lines to fix the broken ones and pressed the pin back in the side cover and was cleaning everything up to put her back together and i find needle bearing rollers in the bottom. After looking around I find the intermittent gear that drives the Ipto/multipower pump to have a good 1/4in slop side to side. So I split the tractor anyway to investigate.
I found this has the Old style Ipto pump that has a shaft on the IPTO pump to hold the gear not the latter style that had 2 sheet metal plates with the gears in between them. The Needle bearings have fallen apart and the shaft that threads into the pump to hold the gear has stripped out of the housing and chewed it up pretty good.
Does anyone know where I can find this old style Pump?
I do have a tig welder and lathe ect. I could tig weld it back up and re-machine it but that is going to be difficult on oil soaked cast aluminum.

Thanks guys! There are no pins in the PTO clutch drum at all. either they fell out or were never there. I do not see any holes drilled either for them. I might be able to drill and install some roll pins in the hub to keep the disk from flopping around and save from splitting the tractor.
I think i am going to machine a thread in pin on the lathe to replace the press fitted one in the side cover so it will never back out again. and fix the broken oil lines and she might be good to go. The pto brake and pto worked fine before taking her apart.
I used this tractor with a 6foot finish mower 99% of the time i can always out an overrun clutch on the pto to keep it from wearing the pto brake any more.
Worse case i can split it, replace the disk and install pins and hopefully it will be good to go.
If i end up splitting it should i go through the hydraulic pump? it seems to be working fine. Although the 3 point does leak down very slowly with the tractor off but the stand pipe o rings are pretty compressed and loose i am betting it is leaking down there.

Also There is a updated brake as well. The new style has a seal on the brake piston. Ask your dealer. Good luck. Lance

Other MF models use the same parts, 150, 165, 175, 180, 1080, 1085, and some of the 200 series too. The drum brake disc rides loose on the drum, with pins holding on one side. Sounds like the side cover pin backing out first caused your trouble. If the two drum pins are still holding the disc on the drum, and the brake plate flipped over on the brake valve disc may still work fine as is. That brake disc was NEVER tight on the drum when new..
