50a alternator pulley

Does anyone know what size pulley was originally used on the alternator of a ad4.203 Perkins. Im in the process of replacing the fan belt on my 50a and realised the alternator does not have the right pulley on it.

What tractor? What makes you say it is wrong (OD of pulley , shaft hole ID, width, offset))? Do you know if unit was originally an alternator or a conversion from a generator?

Its an 1973 industrial Massey Ferguson
50a. It came with a delco alternator.
When I went to replace the belt i
realized the alternator had a pulley for
a 3/8" wide belt while the rest of
pulleys and the new belt is 1/2" wide. So
1/2" wide pulleys for the alternator are
available but what od pulley would have
been used.

Get one the same or a bit smaller OD than the one on it. Smaller will make it charge at lower rpms. Your description sounds like someone got a replacement alternator at some point in its life and didn't swap the pulley over. 3/8 is the common width for cars and trucks.
