Anyone have a lead on a place to get a new high pressure power steering hose for a mf 65. The threads on the one I am trying to replace have stumped
all our local hydraulic places.

Have you checked with your local Massey Ferguson/AGCO dealer?

(quoted from post at 16:29:57 02/18/20) I suppose that would be a good idea :),

As Farmer Rock noted, knowing your general location someone might have an idea of a place you could try just as he posted one if you are in that area.

I am in Marble Falls, Texas. I don't have ready access to a Massey Ferguson dealer so was trying to get it on online first. It seems this particular
hose/ pump has English threads that is making it difficult to replace.

Massey has a dealer locator on line, it looks like Blackland Impliment Co. in Temple, TX is the closest to you. Give them a call, most dealers around here (Maine) will ship to you. I'm 1 to 2 hours driving time to get to some dealers I need. Others in the state are further than that from their dealers.

It looks like there is a Parker Retail Store in Austin. They should be able to get, if not in stock, the fittings and hose to make what you need. Parker does a lot in industrial equipment with equipment built world wide. You would need to find a way to get your old hose to them so they can ID the fittings, etc.

Others may be along with a dealer they recommend you call. HTH

Hello, are you sure it has what you term 'English ' threads on it? The 'English ' threads would be BSP - British Standard Pipe and may be 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2". It is unlikely that a US tractor would have BSP fittings anywhere on it. What you may well have is the US npt equivalent. Very similar. If you are certain that your fittings are BSP then adaptors should be available. Replacement of steering pipes is always a pain as they frequently have steel tube ends or banjo fittings or both.

(quoted from post at 12:05:28 02/19/20) my mistake David, you are right. The threads are NLA which I can't find an adaptor for or the NLA ends.

You said the threads are NLA. Don't think I ever heard of a NLA thread series. NLA normally means No Longer Available. How about posting a photo of the hose and ends. I would still say check with the MF dealer and the Parker Store.

Are the ends themselves still good, but the hose is bad? If so, they make hose ends you can have old stems brazed, silver soldered or welded to. They might need to ordered in. I have used regular hose fittings to do that as well to in a pinch. Weld a pipe coupling to the old end and make your own adapter is another possibility.

I think it is a standard thread pitch such as 9/16 or 5/8. Can't remember which and my 65 is put away for the winter where it is not easy to get at. Don't know how mechanically inclined but I would not hesitate to retap it to a standard taper pipe thread that was readily available. Don't really like those fittings that need an o-ring on the end as mine have a tendency to loosen up over time and start leaking. IMO
