Test for 12 volt voltage regulator

MF 50 farm tractor with 3 cylinder Perkins Diesel engine. Are there any test to determine if the 12 volt voltage regulator is bad. This is my second new
regulator and the system will not keep the battery charged. The battery is new and the amp meter gauge is new. Any ideas, thoughts, or
suggestions?

As always any responses are greatly appreciated.

I am assuming it still has the original generator. I would suggest changing out the generator to an alternator. Get a self excited Delco alternator . Voltage regulator is built in.
I replaced the generator on my MF50 gas model 10 or more years ago and haven't had any charging problems since.
YT has one shown as out of stock. Dont know if they plan on restocking them or not
