On a Massey Harris 22 then hydraulic reservoir is at the front of the tractor correct? It seems a little low to me how high should it be filled and what hydraulic oil? Thanks.

Yes, the hydraulic tank is in front of the radiator. Manual says to use any SAE Number 10 premium grade motor oil. Screw on top or (filler cap) should have a bayonet type dipstick attached to it just like the dipstick you use to check the motor oil for the tractor. If not, manual says system capacity is 7 quarts.
