I have an early 70's 30B with the Continental gas engine. Lately my temperature gauge is shooting up to just below the red zone, which it didn't do in the past. I shot the hoses with a temperature gun. My top hose is 182 and my bottom hose is 160.
Is this really overheating or do I maybe have a gauge problem? There is a lot of rust in the relatively new anti-freeze so I may have some kind of cooling system problem.
