Don't know if this will be helpful to anybody but every once in a while somebody asks me to convert MM or Cm to inches for them. An easy rule to remember is 25 mm is very close to 1 inch. So if you have something that is 50 mm it is just under 2 inches. If it is listed as cm 2 1/2 cm is the same thing as 25 mm A cm is 10 times as much as a mm. I worked as a machinist for over 40 years and at the last of it we were making parts both in metric and inches (thank you world trade) so this came in handy for rough work. We even had machines that were graduated in both metric and inches. I found that after working with metrics for a while I actually preferred it to inches. All metric is based on 10. So easy to convert up or down. Hope this helps someone.
