MH 50 throttle

needing to replace the friction disc on the throttle linkage, are they up near the dash or down lower? can not see them without removing some sheetmetal. Don't think it will be too difficult of a job once I get started. Thanks for any info.

That disc is on the rear of the shaft running from front to back then it attaches to the throttle control lever under right side of dash. There's an adjustable spring tensioner that may need attention.

You have to remove rod at governor and at rear where throttle
lever is connected. Be sure and mark your clamps and disk
assembly to keep in time. I would take picture at governor
linkage if you?ve never done it. It can be hooked up wrong.

I seem to recall that friction disc was under the dash when I replaced the one on my MF50 diesel - years ago. I don?t remember that fix being to difficult.

Thanks guys for the replies. I have owned this tractor since 1988 and have not replaced these discs. The problem now is the throttle will not maintain a steady RPM and I have to hold the throttle to keep the RPMs up. So if I have to take hood and side panels off I will. Had them off last year when I replaced radiator and water pump. Use it for mowing my yard, have a 7 foot finishing mower on it. Tractor has factory power steering and drives like a dream.

You may get by with tightening the spring tensioner on dash end of rod, loosen bolt and put more tension then tighten.
