MF 135 swinging drawbar frame

Can anyone confirm the best way to remove this from the belly of the tractor. There appear to be 2 bolts towards the rear locating vertically and two bolts towards the front of the frame fixing horizontally into each side of the transmission.
I've yet to work out how the drawbar locates to the frame after it passes between the two swing control pins.
Thks.

I'm guessing you have the UK style drawbar like this

Thanks, that's perfect. Now I can see how it works and presume it fixes to the underside of the tractor through those four holes in the top part of the frame. Can only see two fixings but I haven't been able to release the lower half yet thanks to rust and guess the front two are hidden until that drops.
Really appreciate your help. Found a copy I think of the correct manual but will be a while before it gets here.
Lloyd.

Hello, it is unlikely that you will have
the drawbar frame type that PT has
indicated as this is the early type and
would not have been fitted to a straight-
axle 135 as standard equipment. The type
that you are likely to have is the later,
longer one which will accommodate the
wider drawbars used on larger tractors.
The principle of fitment is the same with
4 vertical studs attaching the upper
frame to the chassis and two horizontal
pins attaching the drawbar frame to the
upper frame. The type of hitch was used
to enable an automatic hook hitch to be
used and be able to use the lower lift
arms to be used with the hook fitted.

Thanks for your replies.
Am I correct in thinking that the rear (on the tractor) cross pin is released allowing the lower frame to pivot down. The drawbar is inserted between the two rear pins, slides to the back and then I'm not sure what happens. The large vertical pin at the engine end of the bracket secures the end of the drawbar and then the drawbar and lower frame are raised and secured with the rear sliding horizontal pin? These two pieces are quite heavy and I wondered if there was a non hernia system for lifting the drawbar and lower frame back up to be secured? Still waiting for the first manual so working in the dark.
Many thanks
Lloyd.

Hello Lloyd, the drawbar frame will pivot
on the front pin giving you a choice of
height settings for the rear pin. If you
need to remove the drawbar only the rear
pin can be removed and the frame lowered
onto a suitable block of wood. Remove the
front vertical pin and withdraw the
drawbar slightly. Replace the pin if
necessary. With the drawbar still within
the frame use it as a lever to lift the
frame and replace the rear pin. Then pull
the drawbar clear.
If you wish to remove the drawbar and
frame there is no recommended method but
what I have done for the last 40 years or
so is to use a cylindrical log about a
foot in diameter and two foot in length.
Roll this under the frame and remove the
rear pin first. Rock the hitch on the log
so that you can remove the front pin.
Roll the hitch rearwards and clear on the
log. Vice versa for refitting.

[Thanks,
I'm hoping to release the lower frame, remove 50 years of rust, treat and paint
Renew the small retaining pins and their chains plus the rear pins that set the amount of swing for the drawbar. The drawbar is also missing the clevis(?).I'll treat the base that bolts onto the tractor in place as doubts were raised about removing the bolts successfully and whilst I've coped with broken wheel studs and rounded lug nuts I doubt lying on my back under the tractor would be as easy.
