MF35 or IMT539

I have a IMT539 diesel which was a licensed reproduced copy of a MF35, so so the internet says. Everything looks the same however I am not sure about accessories like filters. I need to redo the fuel delivery system, does any know if internal and external MF fuel filters will fit the IMT, and what about the fuel pump? I think a electric
fuel pump could be easily plumed in but the 2 filters are another issue.

Hi Chuck, I think you summed it up when you said "everything looks the same ". Yes it does, but it isn't! The main difference I'm sure you will find is that all threads on the 35 are unc or unf with the occasional Whitworth if it's on old 35. The IMT is all metric. Items like the fuel filters may be the same as the filter bodies might be made to fit common European filters. An electric pump should work ok as you won't run into any thread problems.
