An enthusiast from the Netherlands wants to modify his MF65 for trekking through France .
He's asked if anyone has photographs or ideas for adaptations , modifications or simple suggestions that might be able to help him on his project .
I thought I would ask here , general advice on trekking would be welcome as well . TIA

Nice to think about trekking across the U.S. on my old Massey 50, but crazy driving here wont allow it. It should be allowed though but everyone in such a hurry. When I come up on a tractor on the back roads I just stay behind him (sometimes her) with my four ways flashing because I know he or she wont be going to far. I like to think maybe just maybe I have kept some fool from running over them.
But in thinking about it I guess the first thing I would do is put turf tires on and get rid of the lugged tires. Might make for a smother quieter ride.
Maybe one of these days I can tour Europe on a TO-35. That would be a hoot.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm what a wonderful thought, driving along an arrow-straight road through an avenue of trees or alongside a
canal with a warm breeze in your face.....now back to reality.
Security would have to be a major issue to consider, his and the tractor's. In my mind you would need a large box
mounted on the rear of the tractor, not on the three-point linkage or mounted in such a way that it could not be
removed. I'm thinking 3 to 4 feet wide, 2 feet high and 2 feet deep. It needs to be very securely locked and
watertight. Provision would need to be made to secure the battery and prevent the tractor being started or stolen.
Locks are available or can be made to hold the steering on full lock. A cab or canopy might help to keep the sun and
rain off....more likely sun. If using white diesel (gaz-oil) filling stations should be plentiful but carrying a spare
can for fuel, water and oil would be a good idea. Don't forget spanners, a jack and an axle stand should a wheel need
to be removed. Hope this might help. Bon voyage!

Thanks chaps , I've been at my farm the last few days so a little late replying .
It certainly would be a wonderful thing to do , I have walked from Lyon to Ales through forests and by lakes , it certainly was beautiful . By tractor might just be bliss !
